Golf Day 2017

Reach Beyond’s Golf Day

will be held at Eastwood Golf Club on Friday, 17th November 2017

We’re excited to invite you to take part in Reach Beyond’s Golf Day featuring guests PGA professional golfers, Scott Laycock and Euan Walters.

Reach Beyond (formerly HCJB Australia) is a not-for-profit Christian organisation. It strives to reach the unreached with a message of hope via shortwave radio into remote regions of Asia Pacific to see lives transformed.

We are holding our golf day with the aim to raise $15,000 towards our ‘Light Up A Village’ project. This project provides solar panels, LED lights and shortwave radios into remote villages of India. These villages do not have electricity and limited access to the gospel. Our hope is for you to be part of bringing eternal light and hope to unreached people by participating in the event as an individual or team, or even supporting the event as a sponsor.       We are excited to have as our special guest, PGA golf professional Scott Laycock.

Scott won the Victoria Open in 2001 in Australia, and he still holds the tournament record.
He played in the British Open in 2002 & 2007, the US PGA in 2002 and on the US PGA Tour
in
2003, played on the
Japan Golf Tour for eight years from 2000 and won Bridgestone Open
in 2002. Scott has featured in the top 100 of the Official World Golf Rankings with 70 being
his highest ranking. He has had 19 holes in one.

Scott is now involved in coaching and course design and has a keen interest in Japanese,
likes to read, ride his bike, enjoys cooking, gardening and go-karting when time permits.

We are honoured once more to welcome as our special guest, PGA professional
Euan Walters.

Euan turned professional in 1994 and is currently an assistant professional at Riversdale
Golf Club. His career highlights include winning the 2004 Jacob's Creek Open
Championship which earned him membership on the US Nationwide Tour for the rest
of 2004. He then gained his PGA Tour card for 2005 which saw him playing in some
of the biggest tournaments in the US and play courses around the world that we generally
only dream about. Euan is a well-known participant on the pro-am circuit and is still
regarded as having one of the best short games going around.

Apart from golf though, Euan is well known for his faith in God and that this, and his family,
rank way ahead of golf. In a media interview some time ago, the comment was made that
"Euan has his life and his priorities better balanced than just about anyone out there." We
look forward to having Euan with us again and thank him for giving his time so generously.
