Peter originally hailed from rural Queensland before going to university to become a veterinary surgeon. He had by this stage also obtained his pilot’s licence and he first combined the two and came to the Northern Territory and Kimberley regions as a flying vet as part of the Tuberculosis Eradication Campaign in 1984.
Peter grew up in a Christian home but it wasn’t until he went away to boarding school at thirteen that he knew he needed to respond to the gospel himself. Since then Peter has sought to be a witness to the hope that he has through his life and words, touching the spheres of society that he is involved in, showing the grace and truth that Jesus showed.
Reach Beyond was one of the first mission organisations that Peter was aware of when he became a Christian as a young teenager, and so it is like he has come the full circle now having the opportunity to serve on the board of Reach Beyond. He desires to help Reach Beyond more effectively be the voice and hands of Jesus in the Kununurra region while still reaching beyond closed doors overseas.
Peter is married to Belinda and they have four children.
